About Us

Serving Kachina Village, AZ Since 2004

Who We Are?

We’re a team of HVAC specialists who actually live and work in the mountain communities we serve. Founded by Jim and Sarah Harrison after they experienced firsthand how few contractors would travel to Kachina Village during winter emergencies, they began with a simple promise: to be the company that shows up.

What started with a single service truck has grown to a fleet of five vehicles specifically equipped for high-elevation service calls, with technicians trained in cold-climate heat pump installation and repair. Unlike Phoenix-based companies that charge steep travel fees or can’t schedule you for weeks, we’re based just outside Flagstaff and prioritize Kachina Village, Mountainaire, Munds Park, and surrounding communities.

I remember one January night in 2018 when the temperature dropped to -12°F and we received six emergency calls from Kachina Village homeowners with failed heating systems. Our team worked through the night, moving from house to house, not just making repairs but also helping winterize pipes until we could return for permanent solutions. That’s who we are – the team that understands what’s at stake when your system fails at 7,000 feet elevation.

Our technicians average 15+ years of experience, with specialized training in the unique challenges of propane-integrated systems, electrical limitations of 1970s-1990s mountain homes, and performance optimization for equipment operating in thin air where BTU output drops significantly.

Our Values

Mountain-Specific Expertise: We don’t just understand HVAC – we understand Northern Arizona mountain HVAC. The solutions that work at lower elevations often fail here. Our recommendations always account for the 25-30% efficiency loss that occurs at our elevation, the extreme temperature swings, and the unique electrical infrastructure of mountain communities.

Transparency Before Sales: You’ll never get high-pressure tactics from us. When your heat pump struggles to defrost or your system short-cycles in the Kachina Village cold, we’ll first attempt repairs before suggesting replacement. If replacement is necessary, we’ll explain exactly why, showing you the specific components that have failed rather than using technical jargon to push new equipment.

Community Connection: We’re active members of the communities we serve. You’ll find us at the Kachina Village Fire District fundraisers and Mountainaire community meetings. We understand local concerns about wildfire safety and design systems with those considerations in mind.

Reliability When It Matters Most: Winter storms can isolate mountain communities like ours. That’s why we maintain emergency parts inventory specifically for the most common systems in Kachina Village homes. While other companies might need to order parts and leave you waiting in the cold, we’ve invested in keeping critical components on hand year-round.
